Installing Team Foundation Server Lab Management

Lab Management is new to me and I followed an excellent blog by Darshan Desai at

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/lab_management/archive/2010/02/11/visual-studio-lab-management-videos.aspx

Whilst configuring Lab Management if the TFS Administrator Console I encountered the following error

Error TF260078 – Could not connect to SC VMM

Searching for solutions I came across various an article by  Dylan Smith at

http://geekswithblogs.net/Optikal/archive/2011/03/30/144600.aspx

referencing Microsoft KB2009157.

Essentially,

·Add the Team Foundation Server Service Account to the Domain\Windows Authorization Access Group

·From VMM Console under Administration

oAdministrator

oUser Role Properties for Administrator

oMembers

§  Include the Team Foundation Server Service Account

·Restart the System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) server.

Everything comes up and you are back on track with the videos referenced above.
